Andrew and I photographed a beautiful snowy Colorado wedding this past weekend. It was definitely chilly on Saturday, but nothing could damper the spirits of Liz and Kris as they gathered with family and friends to celebrate their union. Pink Monkey was recently featured on Vail’s TV 8, discussing the intricacies of Pipe and Drape. Michael and Steve brilliantly demonstrated some of the basic techniques, including some advanced lighting applications. At Pink Monkey, Pipe and Drape is truly an art form, along with couch moving, and lots of other things that require heavy lifting. But seriously, Pink Monkey is pretty good at draping just about anywhere, anytime.

The partnership with Vail’s TV 8, is culminating in the first annual “Mix” event, which will take place Thursday February 18, at the Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa in Avon, CO. The event will feature lighting and decor by “The Monkey”, as well as speed dating, and music by DJ Logic. Here is a quick pic of our transportation to a recent job. It’s a pretty sweet ride, but it requires a little planning to get everything to job site.
In other news from Monkey HQ, we are excited to announce that we have started the build out of our new warehouse facility in Gypsum Colorado. We are finally consolidating all of our “stuff” under one roof, which will include office space. We should be all moved in by the end of next week, and are really excited to have heat, because it can get a little nippy in the mountains.

Andrew and I had a blast shooting with models Shannon and Dalia from Premier Image Agency this weekend! These ladies showed off the exceptional talent of some of our favorite vendors – while looking stunning for photos!
Janine Schmenk (Makeup by Janine) did an amazing job with the ladies makeup. Their skin was glowing! Hairstylist Bre Osa (Salon Bre) did a fabulous job on the ladies hair as well! Lisa Anderson (Sweet Pea Flowers) put together this beautiful bouquet and heart-shaped wreath. I love the yellow and gray color scheme – maybe one of my favorites!!
