A couple of weekends ago Andrew and I photographed Katie and Troy’s gorgeous vintage-inspired wedding at the Lakewood Country Club.  The day was filled with amazing details thanks in part to Kerri Butler with A Touch of Bliss and Katie and Troy’s exceptional LA taste!  We had such a great time photographing Katie and Troy…here are a few bunch of our favorites from the day.  Enjoy and be sure to leave a comment and let us know what you think!

The couple spent the morning relaxing and getting ready for the big day at the Westin Tabor Center in downtown Denver.  Katie’s gorgeous Christian Louboutin shoes paired with her handmade purse were to die for!

Janine Schmenk of Makeup by Janine did a fabulous job with all of the girls makeup…Katie looked gorgeous!

Katie is an animal-lover…so her family pets made an appearance before she got into her wedding gown.

Katie’s “something borrowed” was a stunning pair of Harry Winston diamond earrings that belong to her sister-in-law.

Troy and all of the groomsmen wore Converse shoes with their gray suits!

The groomsmen looked awesome in their gray suits and pastel-colored ties, but were not to be outdone by the gorgeous bridesmaids in their mint-colored dresses.

So flippin’ cute together…

This was a funny moment between Katie and Andrew.  Andrew was instructing her to place her hand with the bouquet down at her side, but instead he said to “drop the bouquet” to her side.  Well, Katie took him literally and she threw her bouquet on the ground…it was pretty funny!

The ballroom at the Lakewood Country Club was stunning with touches of citrus all over the place.  Heidi with the Swiss Flower and Gift Cottage did a fantastic job with all of the flowers for the day!

Katie and Troy are both vegan…so the dinner and dessert served at the reception was entirely vegan!  It looked delicious!

Denver Design Works did a fantastic job with all of the lighting and decor for the room.  The hanging flowers and candles made the dance floor really beautiful…

A huge thanks to Kerri and Bridget with a Touch of Bliss for all of their hard work during the day!  Everything turned out amazingly!

Katie and Troy – Congratulations!  We are so happy and excited for you.  Thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your very special day.  It was such a great pleasure to work with you both and we can’t wait to see where this life takes you!  Best wishes!

This weekend Andrew and I had the great pleasure of photographing Katie and Troy’s fabulous wedding at the Lakewood Country Club.  We first met Katie and Troy in LA for their West Hollywood engagement session…and we knew automatically upon meeting them that they were going to be so much fun to work with!  Their amazing sense of style paired with their undeniable love and gratitude for each other made Katie and Troy’s wedding day nothing short of spectacular.  Here are just a few sneak peek pictures…check back later for more photos from Katie and Troy’s big day.

A couple of weekends ago Andrew and I headed down to Black Forest, CO – just outside of Colorado Springs for Sarah and Matthias’ wedding.  The entire day fit them to a tee…fun-loving, relaxed and laid back.  Sarah and Matthias live in Germany, so they celebrated their first wedding back in May in Minden…surrounded by Matthias’ wonderful family.  Sarah and Matthias decided to celebrate their American wedding at the beautiful La Foret Conference and Retreat Center.  Andrew and I had such a great time photographing these two…and we feel so grateful to have been part of their very special day.  Here are a few of our favorites from the day…enjoy!

Of course Sarah and Matthias had to represent with the German flag!

Sarah chose these shoes partly because of the name, Eloise – the name of her grandmother.

Sarah and Matthias roasted s’mores the night before with their guests…so we pulled a few of the ingredients for this ring shot.  Yum!

Lisa Anderson with Sweet Pea Flowers did a fantastic job (as always) with all of the flowers for the day.

A few finishing touches…

Sarah and Matthias’ ceremony was held at the Taylor Memorial Chapel on the La Foret grounds…it was such a cool little chapel.

Sarah’s sister carried a candle in remembrance of their grandmother down the aisle and placed it on the altar.  It was a beautiful way to pay tribute to a very special member of their family.

I love the way Sarah is looking at Matthias in this picture.

A few of their portraits…

Their reception was held at the Ponderosa Lodge on the La Foret grounds.  Ponderosa was a warm, rustic, log-cabin feeling lodge…it was gorgeous!

As favors for their guests, Sarah and Matthias created these picture holders.  The faces of the cube were covered with pictures of Sarah and Matthias in different locations around the world…and the bottom showed their two wedding dates!  Very cool idea!

I snagged this one as Andrew was taking the group shot from above…love the German flag again!

Many of Sarah’s closest friends came from all over the country to La Foret for the wedding…

As the reception was starting, Sarah and Matthias told the story of how they met in the form of a poem…it was adorable.

Sarah surprised Matthias with red balloons falling from the ceiling during the famous song “99 Red Balloons.”

Sarah and Matthias – it was such a great pleasure to work with both of you!  We feel so fortunate to have been part of your very special day.  Have a safe trip back to Germany and keep in touch!

After traveling thousands of miles from their home in Germany to Colorado, Sarah and Matthias celebrated their “American Wedding” yesterday at the beautiful La Foret Conference Center in Black Forest, Colorado.  When we first “met” Sarah and Matthias over a Skype video call, we knew that they were going to be so much fun to work with…and meeting them in person this week definitely solidified our first impressions!  Sarah and Matthias celebrated their first wedding this May in Germany, so this session wasn’t exactly an “engagement shoot” but it was still fun to go out and shoot some laid-back, relaxed portraits.  Here are a few of our favorites from their session.  Be sure to check back for some of their beautiful wedding photos!  Enjoy!

We are so lucky!  We get to hang out with fun couples…who are head-over-heels in love with each other!  Tricia and Brian are no exception!  We met them a couple of weeks ago for some laid-back Colorado engagement pictures.  We actually just photographed Tricia’s brother, Joel’s wedding…and we can’t wait to work with the whole family again!  We met Tricia and Brian in Morrison and had a blast shooting at Lair O’ the Bear Park…here are a few of our favorites from their session…enjoy!
